About This Workshop

Ever wanted to master a headstand but weren’t sure where to start? Or perhaps you’ve been trying your technique for a while but never quite mastered it? This workshop is designed to help you build the strength, stability, and confidence needed to safely turn your world upside down.

Headstands are invigorating, confidence-building, and offer a fresh perspective—both physically and mentally. Beyond their playful nature, inversions have been practiced for centuries as a way to shift energy, cultivate focus, and strengthen the body.

This workshop is open to complete beginners working towards their first headstand, as well as those who wish to refine their technique. We will approach headstands safely and mindfully, ensuring that each step of the journey is accessible and supportive.

What to Expect:

  • A Strong Foundation – The first half of the session will focus on preparing the body by strengthening and opening key areas, including the shoulders, core, and spine. This preparatory practice is valuable in itself, helping to develop the stability and awareness needed for inversions.

  • Upside down with Confidence – Through guided drills and step-by-step instruction, you’ll learn how to enter and exit a headstand with control, ensuring a safe and steady experience.

  • Exploring Variations – For those who’s headstands practice, options will be offered to refine alignment, hold the posture for longer, and even begin to explore variations.

The Deeper Meaning of Inversions – Inversions were once known in the Hatha Yoga tradition as Vipareeta Karani Mudra—the “Reversing Attitude.” What does it mean to truly shift our perspective?

Whether you're taking your first steps toward a headstand or deepening your practice, this workshop will provide a supportive and encouraging space to explore, grow, and have fun with inversions.
